This just popped up on my laptop screen today and it says that windows 7 support will end by 2020, which means windows 7 and windows XP will be placed in the same state of "Use at your own risk"possibility.
I know we have windows 10 to rush to but it is still a heavy Operating system for basic computing functions and always presents a different or unique approach to solving problems but why not leave the windows 7 for individual choices.
As a linux fan and using different series of the Debian Linux family like Ubuntu, Linux Mint, i dont worry much cause i have options i can load on old archaic computer systems and they'll work perfectly. For those who have not given these other operating systems a chance, i suggest you start giving yourself an option of use based on what you see fit for your individual projects.
In preparation for the next era of windows 7, i know the great minds are awaiting to do likewise what they did on behalf of windows XP and as we await these ends, lets start learning about otyher lightweight OS that can help save our time.
